I talked to our intrepid Les yesterday - safe and sound. When I spoke to him he had just woken up, was watching a beautiful sunset come up over the hills, drinking tea given to him by a nice Afghan man... and taking it all in. I'm sure he'll have many tales to tell when he gets back home in less than 2 weeks!
