Prodigal son?

Well I’m back and on a positive note to boot, I had toyed with the idea of nixing my blog entirely and had all but pulled the plug, then I got a word from my writing confidant Mariann Simms and her Humor Me site (also see links under “Stomping Grounds”) that one of my Bulwer Lytton entries made the cut and secured a “Dishonourable Mention” in the Romance category. You can check it out here.

So for the following few days while I ease into a steady pace of work, gym and relaxation time, I will take time to put forth the witticisms for which you long, like the salivating dogs that you are… talk about a nice way to make my return!

PS, I appreciate all the support during my “off time” to get the HG up and at it again. Thanks Mariann for giving me the e-kick in the pants I needed.

Only 365 days until next BL contest closure, better get cracking!

If a picture was ever worth a thousand words, Peter was certain that his was worth much more, and the photograph - if seen by some sort of “Idiom Appraisal specialist” would surely have set the value beyond the meagre 1000 words that the slogan suggests, And in Peter’s mind a still of the 18th page of his 1973 encyclopaedia was sheer genius.

Welcome back old man! It brought a tear to this fat man's eye to think that the Happy Gapper may be no more. And to quote the immortal Jay, "There's nothing worse than watching a fat man weep".

mistily yours,
Geo

Jim,
We'll today i aproached the Big 30, by one more year! Not to rub the old man thing in, but i too, am feel'n old.
Today, me 29th wasn't over beers or a party but spent with me ol'ball'chain and daughter in Brandon. They took me to the new Pirates movie & supper. Good, but i hate the price they pay. Plus, the f'n "to be continued" in the movies has to stop!
We'll let's cross our fingers that the Riders solve the "saftey issue" and get back on track.
Look for me daughter on the 22nd game, she's a junior Cheerleader.
How did the boys like the flags?

Note
* still in the pirate lingo,
sorry*

Well, thank YOU for saying the kind things you said to me here. I'm glad I could somehow contribute to your comeback...in a roundabout way...it was in fact your writing which was behind it all.

Thanks for the link on you site Mariann! I think it leads to my profile though, rather than to my blog, but I'll take any exposure at this point.
